Apple & Gouda Grilled Cheese
4 slices Fresh Cut Bread
1 Granny Smith Apple peeled, and thinly sliced
6 slices Smoked or Regular Gouda
3 Tbsp Tuscan Herb EVOO
3 Tbsp Crisp Anjou Pear Balsamic
Heat your skillet over medium heat. Brush Tuscan Herb EVOO on one side of each piece of bread.
Assemble the sandwiches leaving oiled side of bread on the outside of the sandwich for toasting.
Lay the sandwiches with the oiled side touching the skillet. Place a sandwich press, heavy bottom skillet or spatula on top of the sandwiches to press them down.
Cook for 3-4 minutes on first side, or until browned. Flip carefully and cook 2-3 minutes on the other side, allowing to brown (careful– the second side usually cooks faster) Drizzle with Crisp Anjou Pear Balsamic and enjoy!
